Vocal Music

Miss Jessica Rajewich, Director

LHS Choirs are devoted to the study of choral music, vocal techniques, and ensemble skills. Students will be exposed to a variety of music literature, including many different styles and cultures. The goals of our choral ensembles, via rehearsal and performance, are:

* To improve the individual performance and ensemble skills of its members.
* To achieve a high degree of musical understanding and performance excellence.
* To learn the skills and concepts necessary to successfully participate in a vocal ensemble.

Music allows us to celebrate and preserve our cultural heritages, and also to explore the realms of expression, imagination, and creation resulting in new knowledge. Every individual should be guaranteed the opportunity to learn music and to share in musical experiences.

This wonderful group of students is made up of students who participate in the special education program and who love to sing. In Vocal Links, we learn about instruments and music from different cultures, we do vocal warm-up exercises, and we have fun performing together at Lincoln High and at various locations in Lincoln.
